The main cabin features an enclosed head to starboard with VacuFlush toilet and sink. To port is the electronic control panel, covered sink/integrated cooler storage, with storage hatches above. Moving forward, port and starboard facing settees are joined into a U-Shape with the aft facing bench. This center section also lifts electrically to expand the V-Berth - a very clever touch. The generously sized V-Berth is forward. The cabin features two hatches for light and ventilation. The cabin area and everything in it is spotless.
The foredeck features 316L SS, Thru-Bolted rails, recessed pop-up cleats, and Rubrail with SS Insert, pop up nav lights, and anchor locker.
This boat is a superb example of the iconic Fountain 38 Lightning. The hull is hand laid composite with multi-directional fiberglass, high density coring and Vinylester resin. The hull and deck are screwed and sealed together with heavy-duty marine sealant/ adhesive. This vessel is equipped with the reliable HP525/Bravo 1 XR SSM/ITS drive combo and will push the boat to nearly 100 mph. From the swim platform with integrated boarding ladder, moving forward are the electrically powered engine hatches upholstered in a custom cream/sand color. This color combination is carried through the cockpit and interior and is as classy as it is striking. The three place bench seat covers the battery switches and fuses. The side by side bolsters feature electrically controlled seat pans.
The helm is fully instrumented with Livorsi gauges, Azimuth compass, GPS 'tattle-tale' speedo, billet shift/throttle quadrant, Northstar plotter, depth gauge, drive and tab controls as well as visual indicators, Fireboy indicator, ignition switches, lighting/bilge pump/horn switch and open/closed exhaust selector switch. To starboard of the helm are entertainment center remote controls, fume detector indicator and kill switch.
The engine compartment, like the rest of the boat, is immaculate. The 502 cubic inch, staggered, close cooled, Merc HP525 EFIs with 160 total hours allow lowered center of gravity as well as easy access to all service points, strainers, batteries, trim/pump modules, drive lube reservoirs, VacuFlush vacuum generator, and freshwater tank. Fender racks are installed underneath the starboard side hatch as well as on the starboard side engine room floor.
This boat is standing tall and ready for your inspection. It is owned by an extremely meticulous, experienced performance boater who has had the boat professionally maintained since day 1. All scheduled service has been performed including filter/fluid changes and annual drive removal and inspection. The boat is kept in a highly detailed state at all times. 'Like New' is an overused term but if there ever was a true life example, this is it. If you are a looking for a performance boat of the highest pedigree do not miss this opportunity!
