These Tartan 37’s have an extensive history of circumnavigation and offshore cruising. Sunshine is a very nice example of this highly regarded Tartan line of sailboats. Her shoal draft with centerboard is a very good fit for this area. The draft is 4'2" with the centerboard up and 7'2" when down. Starting forward, this vessel has a V-berth cabin with private access to the combination head and shower compartment located aft and to port.
Continuing aft into the main salon, there are settees to port and starboard. There is an L-shaped settee to port. The single settee to starboard pulls out to make a wider berth. There is a pilot berth outboard and above the starboard settee.
The U-shaped galley is aft of the starboard settee. Directly across and to port, there is a full, forward facing navigation station with chart table and additional shelf and storage outboard. Both the galley and the nav station are conveniently located at the base of the companionway steps.
Aft of the navigation station is a large quarter berth that sleeps two with storage underneath.
There is a good ventilation from multiple opening ports and two opening hatches and good storage throughout. A new 12,000 BTU marine air conditioning system keeps the interior comfortable during the hot summer months.
This very functional, U-shaped galley was designed for cruising with a great layout and abundant storage.
